Thank you for the compliment. Lunacy is a difficult skill to acquire and I am proud to have achieved it. But of course, as a raging lunatic, I have to say that. Otherwise I would feel sorry for myself and break out my self-pity ice cream. Except I don't have any ice cream, so it would have to be my self-pity gouda.
I went to the gym today. The lady liked me, so she gave me a free one-week pass. Though I would much rather sit on my couch, I feel obligated to use the pass from the kind lady. So I went and rode this bike thing. The TV was on the E channel, and I must say, I have never learned so much in my entire life. I am now fully caught up on the lives of Christina, Zac and Vanessa, the Jonas Brothers, Avril, Lindsay, and Russell Crowe. I am slightly disgusted with my newfound knowledge. More fun than the actual news was watching the closed captioning. I imagine it must be very stressful to be a closed captioning typer. Closed captioner? Closed captain. I like that. Do closed captains just sit there and type what they hear as fast as they can? They must type at incredible speeds. And the pressure of messing up!! I wonder if they get fired if they have to press backspace more than, like, five times a day. There's no time for backspacing in the world of closed captioning.
I started to read the Chronicles of Narnia today for the first time ever. I'm only about 1o years later than most kids, but that's ok. I enjoy children's books more than most because I don't have to screen. Or as Corbin would say, I don't have to wear my eye muffs. So far I've read about a mean uncle (that I want to punch in throat) and some rings (very LOTR) and some shallow puddles. Know what else is awesome? That book that OBF gave us. The passages for May 16 were EXACTLY what I needed. "I know, O Lord, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps" (Prov. 3:5-6). And "A man's steps are directed by the Lord. How then can anyone understand his own way?" (Prov. 20:24). Solomon really was smart. Basically God was all, "You don't know what you're doing, but I do. Stop being such a wuss." And I was all, "Oh thank God... I mean thank...You..." So I feel better about life. For today. Know what else I've been thinking a lot about? Community. Paul says some very intriguing things. Especially in 1 Thessalonians. Take a looksy so we can chitty chat about that. (RHYME!)
